Mural is still the most polished facilitation canvas on the market, and enough of that polish is genuinely retro-relevant: votes are anonymous by default, Private Mode keeps sticky authors hidden even after the reveal, Outline turns a sprawling board into a walkable agenda, and the Jira and Azure DevOps work-item cards — reworked across May and June 2026 to carry custom fields and be edited in-canvas — let an action item leave the retro as a tracked ticket. Enterprise posture is first-class: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, SCIM, audit logs, NA/EU/APAC residency.
The gaps are structural, not incidental. No health checks, no recurring retros, no action carryover, no cross-team rollup — eight named retro templates, and anything past them you rebuild each sprint. This quarter's shipping went to admins, not facilitators: Company Insights (adoption analytics) and multi-IdP SSO. The AI reads tone within one session and remembers nothing across sprints; the public API still has no webhooks and MCP is early-access beta.
