Improve your team with fun sprint retrospectives

EasyRetro (rebranded from FunRetro in November 2020) is a long-running indie retro tool built around a fast drag-and-drop board and a 200-plus template library. 2026 added working AI — card grouping, board-column generation from a theme prompt and meeting summaries — plus numeric-scale and multiple-choice surveys, dashboard bulk actions, free PNG/CSV export and organisation audit logs.

Structured online retrospectives with team radar

Trune (formerly Fraankly) is an EU-built retrospective and team-feedback tool that runs a fixed four-phase session — silent writing, presenting, voting, actions — with 14 pre-built templates plus custom ones, anonymous cards, drag-to-group clustering, dot voting, action items with reminder emails, and team radars including the Spotify Squad Health Check. Hosted in Frankfurt with EU-only application data, available in five UI languages, and exports results to Excel, CSV or an emailed PDF.

EasyRetro — pros

• + Fastest setup of any tool we run: pick a template, share a link, participants join with no account
• + AI now does real work on the board — card grouping with reviewable merge suggestions, a meeting summary, and board columns generated from a theme prompt
• + Survey engine got serious in June 2026: single-choice, multiple-choice and numeric-scale polls with Team Health Check, Team Safety, mood and meeting-value templates
• + Flat per-team pricing with unlimited members — $60/mo covers three teams of any size — and PNG/CSV export went free in July 2026
• + Plainly still shipping: five changelog entries in 2026, most recently organisation audit logs in July

EasyRetro — cons

• The health surveys are one question on one board — no health model, no cadence, no trend line across sprints
• Integrations are export-shaped: Jira, Confluence and Trello take cards out, Slack only announces new boards, and there's no GitHub, Linear, Azure DevOps or calendar
• No public API, no webhooks and no MCP server — automation stops at the export button
• Vendor holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 (it leans on Google Cloud's), data sits in US Central with no EU option, SAML SSO starts at $90/mo, audit logs at $150/mo, and SCIM doesn't exist
• Free plan is now 1 public board per month and 1 board total on the dashboard (archived included), with AI features excluded

Trune.io — pros

• + EU/Frankfurt data residency and GDPR-first posture — even the truneGPT assistant runs on an EU-hosted function
• + Per-team (not per-seat) pricing: $19/mo covers unlimited members, and the free tier gives 5 full sessions
• + Native two-way Azure DevOps sync — action items out as work items, Done status back in
• + Team radars include the Spotify Squad Health Check plus fully custom radars
• + Ships in five UI languages (English, German, Dutch, French, Italian) and exports to Excel, CSV or an emailed PDF

Trune.io — cons

• trune.io has been returning a WordPress fatal error on every page since late July 2026 — pricing, sign-up and support included. Only the app at app.trune.io still loads
• No SSO, SCIM, SOC 2, or audit logs — not enterprise-ready
• Both native mobile apps are 404 on the App Store and Google Play, and the web app has not been redeployed since September 2025
• AI stops at truneGPT, a ChatGPT-4 chat assistant — no clustering, summaries or action extraction
• Azure DevOps is the only native connector and needs the pricier Professional tier; everything else is a single one-way Zapier trigger
